I was very ably assisted right throughout the loan process. They were only too happy to put up with my sometimes silly questions. I was able to ring up First Option at any time and get straight on to a 'real' person. I have been a member since my late dad signed me up as a 16-year-old, back when it was still the TAB Credit Union. In that sense it was one way of 'keeping it in the family' as I know if my dad was still here he would have insisted I go with First Option. I was very ably assisted right throughout (the loan process) by Irene, who was only too happy to put up with my sometimes silly questions. I was quite the envy of the other girls at work, as I was able to ring up or email First Option at any time during the day and get straight on to a 'real' person, while they were stuck on the phone to a robot at their bank! A few months before my dad passed away he made sure to sign my husband up as a member of First Option and I know this was part of his 'forward planning' to ensure that when the time came for us to make the leap into the property market we would be left in capable hands. For anyone at First Option who still remembers, my dad was Bill Galvin who worked at the TAB and was the instigator of the famous 'TAB Retirees Luncheon' of which First Option has been a great supporter over the years.
