Our Story

First Option Bank was established in 1965 by a group of employees who wanted to create a better economic life for themselves and their families.  Initially serving people in the technology, manufacturing, leisure and energy industries, we now serve a broader range of customers across Australia, including the public service.

As a bank owned entirely by our members, we prioritise your interests above all else, while providing with you all the protections afforded to shareholder owned banks, including the government deposit guarantee.

After almost 60 years, while we have grown substantially, we are still committed to providing our members with the same dedication and personal service we did back in 1965.
